Lesson plans are my mind map
My teaching process starts with identifying what needs to be taught, followed by brainstorming fun and engaging activities. Then, I carefully review the curriculum expectations, which I mostly comply with from the beginning. However, I am open to making adjustments if needed.
Next, I consider any potential learning obstacles my students may face and plan accordingly. I also think about accommodations and group dynamics to ensure a smooth learning experience for all. I am mindful not to let the material become an obstacle in itself.
Once all the necessary preparation is complete, I focus on creating an exciting hook to capture my students' attention and spark their imaginations. I believe that excitement is key to effective teaching. After finalizing all the details, I put everything down on paper to create a clear lesson plan that prioritizes the flow of the lesson.
