Energy in the classroom

As a proponent of a dynamic and energetic classroom, I consider it crucial for a successful learning experience. While class management is important, we must take a proactive approach. By creating an engaging and active atmosphere, we can minimize behavioral issues.

Boredom is our enemy! When I notice students with spaced-out expressions, it concerns me. This often indicates that they are not fully present and engaged. Daydreaming may seem harmless, but it distracts from facing life's challenges head-on and seeking real solutions. We want students to be fully engaged and ready to tackle whatever comes their way.

I believe in a classroom that fosters ongoing communication between students and a teacher who is not afraid to relinquish some control while still maintaining order. Fear-based rigidity can be detrimental to the learning environment and lead to student disengagement. In my view, the teacher is like an orchestra conductor, setting the tempo and guiding the group towards the goal, while allowing each student to express themselves in their own unique way.
